Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

There were actually two winners. Congratulations to Angela and Mom who tied for the win!! It was a bit suspicious that they had all the same answers but one.......perhaps they were in cahoots? I shall get your prizes to you ASAP.
This year I think I had the most participants ever, so that was fun, thanks to everyone who entered. It was also one of the first times in recent years I have not watched the show alone, so that was a blast. Elizabeth had Angela, David and I over and made us a FEAST of a dinner to enjoy while we watched.
We enjoyed some great appetizers and beverages during the red carpet.....some last minute ballot picks,
and the youtubing of best song nominees.

I wasn't joking about the chicken dinner either. Chicken Catetori dinner to be exact.
We have now dubbed Elizabeth our "fancy food friend."

______ the grouch

It's a fill in the blank title.
Did you get it?
The correct answer would be Oscar.

Meaning it is the time of year where I try to make people share in something I love. Since bribery is usually the best way to make it happen, there will be a glorious [yet to be determined - but totally worth it] prize for the winner.

All that is required of you is guessing who it going to walk away with the golden statues. Take a look at the ballot and then email me your picks by the time the show starts on Sunday.
Simple.
Now go, look, watch, and email me.

nineteen

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY
 to my biggest little brother!!
You are SO photogenic, I had a really hard time deciding which photo to put up in honor of your big day.  Therefore you get two.

(It is purely coincidental that Lindsey also looks a tad bit crazy in the first one - I was in no way trying to take away from your stunning facial expressions)

send out the search party

Last night, I sent the house into a panic. Unknowingly of course. After work, I met up with Hannah for ice cream and a movie. I thought I had covered my bases, informing Angela via text, of my plans and telling her I would not be back until late late. With that, my phone was silenced for the two hours of the movie.

Little did I know that a few miles away I had two roommates worried sick. You see Angela had forgotten her phone at work, and never saw my text. They said it was so unlike me to not come straight home after my first 10 hour day of work. It sounded like they were worried when the clock chimed 8 and I should have been home, but then when it hit 9 and the new "What Not To Wear" started they really panicked, as it is so out of character for me to stay out late AND miss a new episode. (this is all very true, I am quite predictable....just not last night)

When I turned on my phone after the movie I had 11 missed calls, texts messages and emails. Yikes! They had even called Jake, but in the end he was no help since he didn't call back until I sent an "I'm alive text."

Sorry for causing you guys to worry, thanks for caring, and next time I shall be sure inform all parties of my plans.

day one

Tax season is upon us. My fourth one, WOWSA! Can you believe that? I can't, makes me feel a little old. Not really related, other than happening at work I had a client earlier today tell me I was sexy - that was a first, and really awkward.
Ok well that's all I have to say on that boring topic. In other news Rachel and ventured out to Bruxie this weekend for some tasty eats. As first timers.....not really knowing what to expect I was quite surprised when we arrived and there was a line around the corner, but it moved quick and was worth the wait. Rachel and her eagle eye spotted us a table - you have to be aggressive to snag one of the six, we may have set our food down on the table before all of the previous people had gotten up.
FYI I have decided as of late that no one really needs to see my eyes. I am all about the squint now - either that or I am just SUPER happy!
YUM! Bruxie = waffle sandwiches. I got the burger.....of course and fries. I have to admit the whole idea sounds a little strange, but it is a winner, especially the waffle fries, delish!
