one for the books

Today is a HUGE day. Like one of the biggest days of the year......with many GRAD celebrations. It's the day that we all get to celebrate the birth of two of my most favorite people on the planet.

First came Lindsey......sister extrordinare [among other things of course]

Then came Rachel......in the great words of Anne my bosom friend 

HAPPIEST OF HAPPY BIRTHDAY'S to you both!!!!!!!!!

I love you both - you are some of the BEST friends I could ever ask for!

an Easter basket.

Check out this sweet treat I got in the mail this week.

My annual Easter basket from Angela. We have been making them for each other ....for well probably the last 4 or 5 years. It's a fun tradition, so why should me moving to another state change that. Instead of hiding them we got them in the mail. Equally as great in my book.

My favorite part of course is the "He is Risen" banner that is now adorning my fridge.

home sweet home

I keep meaning to have a nice little photo home tour for you all. Because I know you are just DYING to see where I live. There are probably at least a few at least......well don't worry this post is not that. Tax season has officially began to heat up, both work wise and temperature wise haha. But my super cool sister was nice enough to take some photos of my living room yesterday for a different project so I thought I would share them. 

So you can see where it is that I do all of the following:

Eat

Watch TV

Read

Sew 

......and that's about it.

I guess it's not a very long list.

hearing things

Sometimes I have these embarrassingly silly/stupid moments, that I just think are so funny they make me laugh out loud. Does that happen to anyone else? Usually other people don't find them as funny as I do, but oh well.

Saturday I had one such moment. When I got home from work I sat down to look at some flights for some of my various upcoming travels (more on that fun stuff at a later date) and watch some TV. Star Wars was on so naturally that is what I selected to watch. But really it was more like background noise as I was not fully paying attention. So I'm on the computer and watching tv and I keep hearing my phone go off.  I went and got it out of my purse and got really confused. I KNOW I heard it, and yet there were no emails and no text messages. Weird.

I couldn't figure it out so I set it down next to me and went back to what I was doing. Then I heard it again. This time I knew it went off, there was no mistaking that noise. But when I picked it up there was still nothing. At this point I am so perplexed I am staring at my phone when I heard it again. This time I happened to look up at the TV and it all clicked in. I am such a fool. Remember way back when I got a new notification sound on my phone, that I just LOVED so much? The sound of a lightsaber. Do you see where this is going? Yeah my phone was not going off at all. I was just hearing the sounds of Star Wars on the Tv. hahahha
