I've talked about it before and I am sure I will talk about it again, but it's true. I always get lost, I like to think of it as being directionally challenged. Even with navigation on my phone, I have the keen ability to go the wrong way.

Friday Lindsey and I set out on an adventure. Getting from John Wayne airport to Angela and Elizabeth's house (my old CA house) in Fullerton. I have made this very drive too many times to count. I thought I knew where to go but decided to use my navigation just to be sure. So we get out of the airport and on the 55 I'm looking at the directions and I say to Lindsey, "ok I'm going to turn this off I know how to get there from here, we just need to get on the 57 north."

About twenty minutes later Lindsey makes a comment about our exit and when is it coming up and I realize woops we passed it many moons ago. So of course I have to turn the navigation back on because I didn't really know where we were.  After getting back on track......many minutes and miles later we were on the 57 going south though. When we were two exits away from Chatman I once again said "Ok now I really know how to get home from here, we just have to take the Chatman exit I'm going to turn this off." So off went the navigation and right by the exit we drove.

Seriously! I just REALLY wanted to take in all the sights around my old digs. Eventually we did make it to the house only about an 40 minutes later than I expected ha.

Now here are some random photos from the trip. We saw some people taking jumping photos while we were at Laguna and kind of giggled at them. Little did we know twenty minutes later we would be doing the same thing.

soon and very soon

I can't believe how quickly it has snuck up on me. Thanks to a crazy busy life, I blinked and the long discussed, trip is right around the corner. One month from today (or yesterday depending on when you read this) I will be on board my first international flight. Heading out for a GRAND adventure with Angela, that has been in the works almost as long as our cruise was.
EEEEEEEKKK! I am SO excited!
That passport has been burning a hole in my pocket, just begging for it's first stamp.

Pretty soon we will be just as cool as MaryKate and Ashley, with out Passports to Paris, and Winning London, when we pop by there as well.

two to the seven

Here is the official recipe for a GREAT 27th birthday:

Begin by waking up, opening the blinds to get a little morning sun and singing a little song:

Happy Birthday to you.
Happy Birthday to YOU.
Happy Birthday to Angela.
Happy Birthday to you.

Now, with it being your birthday and all I think this calls for a well balanced breakfast made up for LOTS of coffee and a tasty tasty egg mcmuffin.

Then you should probably balance things out a bit by going to work. Sharing your birthday joy with all.

Then you can finish out the day with something fun, perhaps a tasty dessert, or possibly even some Alias.
Oh and I can't forget the most important part, make sure you share with at least three people your favorite birthday memory.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGELA!!!!

cheapskate

I don't know that I would actually call myself a cheapskate, but I do tend to the cheap side. Frugal if you will. And now thanks to Yahoo I know exaclty why. This morning I saw this article "10 Best Cities for Cheapskates"and guess what city is number 5? You guessed it good ol Spokane. So you see all that to say I come by my cheap side naturally.
Although I have to say once you read the critera for being selected you see that it is not a bad thing in the least.
And fun fact number ten on the list is Wichita, KS where Megan lives, and Angela and I visted last year. And we totally went to the botanical gardens that the article talks about. Fun!

thanks but no thanks

Since moving to Arizona I seem to have started atttacting all kinds of new attention. I feel like I get hit on all the time here. Not might I add by anyone who I would actually want to hit on me of course though. Generally they are pretty funny encounters. Like yesterday when I was at the Redbox. I was returning an movie and not paying attention to much else when I hear "your  shoes untied." Well hello I don't ever wear shoes that tie to work so I knew for a fact that this was not true. I didn't even flinch. So the man waits a moment then says all impressed "wow that didn't even phase you." I awkwardly gave him a pitty laugh  and started to walk towards my car. When the winning line came, "well thats good I like my women smart, just like you." Uhm no thank you.

Or the great one last week while I was driving to work and stopped at a red light. There was a truck in front of me with a guy my ageish in it. His arms were covered in tatoos and he had peircings in his eyebrow and tough.......pretty much my dream guy right? So he had his wondow down and I was singing along to the radio and kind of staring off into space. Or at least I was until I caught a glilpmse of him in his side mirror. He was giving me the head nod. And definatly looking right at me. The head not was followed up by a couple waves, smiles and finally and air kiss. Seriously. I couldn't beleive it. I laughed outloud.
